A survey was conducted to understand the economic situation and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on businesses in Miyagi Prefecture. The results showed that:

1. 52.4% of businesses reported being affected by the pandemic, with the service, retail, and wholesale industries being the most impacted.
2. 41.7% of businesses reported a decrease in customer traffic, with the service industry being the most affected.
3. 60.2% of businesses reported taking measures to support employees in getting vaccinated, such as providing special leave or paid time off.
4. 23.3% of businesses reported using support measures such as the "Safety Net Guarantee" and "Corona Virus Infection Special Loan".

The survey also found that businesses in the service industry were more likely to report a decrease in customer traffic and to have used support measures such as the "Employment Adjustment Subsidy". Businesses in the water processing industry were more likely to report using the "Corona Virus Infection Special Loan".
