Summary

A vacina BCG SSI é uma vacina viva e atenuada utilizada para prevenir a tuberculose. A vacina contém o bacilo Mycobacterium bovis (BCG) e é aplicada por via intradérmica. A dose recomendada é de 0,05 ml para crianças menores de 1 ano e 0,1 ml para crianças maiores de 1 ano e adultos. A vacina não deve ser aplicada em pessoas com imunodeficiência, tuberculose ativa ou reação positiva ao teste tuberculínico. Os efeitos colaterais comuns incluem induração no local da injeção, ulceração e aumento dos gânglios linfáticos. A vacina deve ser armazenada a 2-8°C e protegida da luz. A data de validade é de 12 a 24 meses, dependendo da quantidade de bactérias vivas.
