Summary

COVID-19 Protocol for athletes and other participants

Testing:
- If tested positive within 90 days, no pre-event negative PCR test is needed, but proof of previous positive test result is required.
- Any PCR test (PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, qRT-PCR) is acceptable.
- Athletes are tested on arrival and again on the 4th day if still competing.
- Non-athletes are not tested during the event.
- Refusing on-site testing will result in not being permitted to participate.

On-site procedures:
- Athletes must have completed their first test to start training, but can train if results are not back before their first training time.
- Testing times will be released closer to the event.
- If an athlete tests positive, they will be isolated in their hotel room, and a parent or guardian must isolate with them if they are a minor.

Competition and training:
- Facial coverings must be worn at all times except when on the apparatus.
- Hand sanitization is required when entering or re-entering the venue, but not while on the field of play.
- A maximum of three participants from the same cohort can assist with equipment preparation.
- Physical distancing of 6 feet must be maintained on the podium.

General COVID-19 principles:
- Fully vaccinated individuals still need to show proof of a negative PCR test.
- The event will not have a "bubble," but participants must "shelter in place" and limit activity to the venue and hotel.
- Eating safely requires staying in the hotel or venue, using food delivery or takeout, and eating only with members of the same cohort or alone.
- Most media interviews will be virtual, with some pre-arranged live interviews using distanced equipment.
- Athletes should interact only with members of their current cohort, and maintain social distancing and facial coverings with others.
