Summary

Basis-Ultraschalluntersuchungen für Frauen in der Schwangerschaft sind Teil des Angebots der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung. Diese Untersuchungen dienen dazu, festzustellen, ob die Schwangerschaft normal verläuft und ob sich das Kind normal entwickelt. Gesetzlich krankenversicherte Frauen haben Anspruch auf drei Basis-Ultraschalluntersuchungen. Die Untersuchungen werden im Mutterpass dokumentiert und können auch auf Auffälligkeiten hindeuten, die weitere Untersuchungen notwendig machen. Ärztinnen und Ärzte sind verpflichtet, die Frauen vor dem Ultraschall über die Vor- und Nachteile aufzuklären. Die Frauen können auf Ultraschalluntersuchungen verzichten, ohne Gründe nennen zu müssen und ohne dass dies Folgen für den Versicherungsschutz hat. Die drei Basis-Ultraschalluntersuchungen finden in der 9.-12., 19.-22. und 29.-32. Schwangerschaftswoche statt und umfassen die Überprüfung der Entwicklung des Kindes, der Lage des Mutterkuchens und der Fruchtwassermenge.
