A 37-year-old female with left shoulder adhesive capsulitis presented to the clinic after 7 months of limited mobility and pain, having seen multiple physiotherapists and chiropractors with minimal improvement. Using the Kinetisense 3D Motion Capture system, the initial assessment showed limited range of motion and pain. Treatment included Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, and chiropractic manipulation, with reassessments showing a 10% increase in pain-free range of motion. Over 6 weeks, the patient experienced significant improvement, becoming pain-free with full shoulder mobility at 8 weeks. The Kinetisense system allowed the patient to see progress, increasing compliance and hope. The patient was taken off antidepressant medications and returned to full activities, with a new goal of running a half marathon. The clinic saw an increase in referrals from physicians and orthopedic surgeons due to the objective reports provided by the Kinetisense system.
