The International Extranodal Lymphoma Study Group (IELSG) newsletter reports on the status of various studies. IELSG 1, a retrospective evaluation of low-grade MALT lymphoma, has completed accrual and pathological review, with a manuscript in preparation. IELSG 3, a randomized trial of observation vs chlorambucil in low-grade gastric lymphoma, will close accrual soon due to low relapse rates. IELSG 4, a prospective randomized trial of chemotherapy vs chemotherapy plus irradiation in diffuse large-cell gastric lymphoma, is ongoing with 17 patients enrolled. IELSG 5, a retrospective evaluation of primary testicular lymphomas, has completed accrual and analysis, with a paper in preparation. IELSG 6, a phase II study of Rituximab in marginal zone B-cell lymphomas, has completed interim analysis and will limit further accrual to extranodal MZLs of MALT-type. IELSG 7, a retrospective evaluation of central nervous system lymphomas, has completed accrual and presented preliminary analysis. IELSG 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13 are also reported, with various stages of completion and enrollment.
