Celgene Turkey, 05.12.2016 tarihinde "REVLIMID" (lenalidomid) ilacı ile ilgili yeni bir uyarı yayınladı. Bu uyarıda, özellikle herpes zoster veya hepatit B virüsü enfeksiyonu olan hastalarda lenalidomid tedavisinin ardından viral reaktivasyon olgularının bildirildiği belirtiliyor.

Hepatit B virüsü enfeksiyonu olan hastalarda, lenalidomid tedavisine başlamadan önce hepatit B durumu ve enfeksiyonun aktif olup olmadığı belirlenmelidir. Ayrıca, hepatit B enfeksiyonu pozitif olan hastalar için hepatit B tedavisinde uzman bir hekimin konsültasyonuna ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır.

Lenalidomid alan hastalarda, herpes zoster ve hepatit B virüsü dahil olmak üzere viral reaktivasyon vakaları bildirilmiştir. Hepatit B reaktivasyonu olguları çok nadir (<1/10.000) olarak bildirilmiş olup, 4 olguda hepatik yetmezliğe ilerlemiştir.

Revlimid, Türkiye'de aşağıdaki durumların tedavisinde endikedir:
- Multipl Miyelom
- Miyelodisplastik Sendrom
- Mantle Hücreli Lenfoma

Revlimid adlı ilacı reçete ederken, belirtilen güvenirlik uyarılarına dikkat edilmesi ve advers reaksiyon oluşması durumunda ilgili mercilere bildirilmesi gerekmektedir.
