Denmark has a long tradition in psychomotricity, with the first formal education established in 1943. The Danish Association of Psychomotricity (DAP) was formed in 1978 and is a member of the Health Confederation.

Education: A 3½ year public professional bachelor program in relaxation and psychomotor therapy is offered by University Colleges in Copenhagen and Randers. The program consists of 210 ECTS points, including theoretical and practical subjects, internship, and bachelor thesis.

Practice: Psychomotor therapists work in various sectors, including prevention, education, re-education, rehabilitation, and therapy. They are employed in public and private institutions, such as schools, hospitals, and counseling centers.

Legislation: The legislative promulgation defining the Bachelor of Relaxation and Psychomotor Therapy is outlined in the Kingdom of Denmark's Decree relating to the training of therapists in psychomotricity and relaxation (BEK nr. 425 af 26/04/2010).
