A multicentre initiative, TOaSTT, is evaluating the toxicity and efficacy of combined stereotactic radiotherapy and systemic targeted or immune therapy in metastatic cancer patients. The project, hosted by the Department of Radiation Oncology – USZ, consists of a retrospective study and a prospective registry trial, collecting data on acute and late toxicity, overall survival, progression-free survival, local tumor control, and disease progression. Eligible patients are those treated with SRT and simultaneous targeted therapy, aged ≥18 years. Each center needs local ethics approval, and data entry is estimated to require approximately 30 minutes per patient. The retrospective study was completed in July 2018, and the prospective study launched in January 2017. Participating centers will be co-authors on all publications, and results will be presented at twice-annual working group meetings.
