Summary

This study aimed to develop a self-care support tool using information and communication technology (ICT) for workers in small-scale businesses. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1,000 workers in small-scale businesses with fewer than 50 employees. The results showed that 93.7% of respondents owned a smartphone, and 86.0% used the LINE app. The most popular topics of interest for self-care information were "methods for getting quality sleep" (45.8%) and "stress relief methods" (36.8%). The study also found that workers preferred concise and easy-to-understand content, and that women and younger workers were more interested in self-care information. The results suggest that developing a self-care support tool tailored to the needs and preferences of workers in small-scale businesses is important for improving their mental health.
