The Parish of St Michael and Sacred Heart, part of Fr. James Nugent Pastoral Area, has two churches: St Michael's Church in Horne St, L65EH, and Sacred Heart Church in Low Hill, L7 8TN. The parish is a registered charity, number 232709, and can be contacted at 0151 263 6578. Confessions are held on Saturdays at 12noon at St Michael's.

The parish shares peace thoughts from St. Catherine of Siena, Joan Chittister, and Anthony de Mello, emphasizing the importance of taking responsibility and action. They also recommend TV programs to watch, including "Hostage in Iran" and "How to Avoid a Second Wave".

The Gospel thoughts for the 21st Sunday of the year reflect on the influence of people in our lives and how God has been guiding us for thousands of years. The parish thanks its volunteer stewards and announces that the church is now open for private prayer and reflection, with strict rules in place for social distancing.

Mass times are Saturdays at 6:30pm at Sacred Heart and Sundays at 10:30am at St Michael's, with no weekday masses until September. The parish congratulates Richard and Milly on their wedding and reminds families that they are in their thoughts and prayers.

The parish also reminds everyone that masses can be streamed online at www.liverpoolcatholic.org.uk, and that the Archbishop has recorded a video for First Communion families. They invite people to share their experiences and insights during lockdown for the SYNOD 2020 (2021) and offer a citizen advice helpline for those struggling with finances.
