Summary

The Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault presents "Danser Joe", a participatory experience inspired by Jean-Pierre Perreault's seminal work, at the Musée de la civilisation in Quebec from March 11th, 2015 to February 14th, 2016. Created by Moment Factory, "Danser Joe" allows visitors to experience the choreography of "Joe" by wearing the iconic costume and moving through an environment of shadow and light, guided by the voice of Ginelle Chagnon. The experience includes an immersive environment with multiple screens projecting performances of "Joe" and its choreographer. The Fondation also contributed to the exhibition's "Memory" section, showcasing notation workbooks and artifacts from Jean-Pierre Perreault's archives. The event is supported by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, The Canada Council for the Arts, and the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
