Summary

Del McCoury, musicien américain de bluegrass, est né le 1er février 1939. Il a reçu un prix pour l'ensemble de sa carrière du National Heritage Fellowship en 2010 et a été élu au International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame en 2011. Il a commencé à jouer de la guitare à l'âge de 9 ans et a été influencé par Bill Monroe et Flatt & Scruggs. Il a joué avec les Blue Ridge Ramblers, les Virginia Mountain Boys et les Blue Grass Boys de Bill Monroe, avant de fonder son propre groupe, The Dixie Pals, en 1967. En 1987, il a fondé le Del McCoury Band avec ses deux fils, Ronnie et Rob, et a remporté de nombreux prix et récompenses dans le monde du bluegrass.
