The Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission has developed a comprehensive five-year plan to empower women in rural areas, aiming to connect 66 lakh women with new employment opportunities and livelihood groups. The strategy involves forming 550,868 new clusters over five years, with specific goals set for short (6 months), medium (1-2 years), and long-term (5 years) periods. Each group will consist of 10-14 women, directly contributing to household and village economic growth. Currently, the state has 4.8 million Self Help Groups, with many having received financial support, community investment funds, or bank loans to initiate activities.

MoU for Cultural Exchange Between Uttar Pradesh and Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts:

On July 29, 2022, an MoU was signed between the Uttar Pradesh Culture Department and the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts under 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat' and 'Cultural Exchange Scheme'. The agreement facilitates educational and cultural exchanges, with the Gujarat unit of the Centre agreeing to perform the Ramlila during Ayodhya's Deepotsav. Signed by Dr. Lavkush Dwivedi and Priyanka Mishra, the MoU promotes collaboration between various institutions across India.
