Summary

From this Sunday, the "Family Prayer" that replaced the Holy Mass is no longer foreseen. Until the end of May, however, the diocesan offices will still prepare a catechetical sheet and a Marian prayer to be lived at home. The Gospel for this Sunday, from Matthew 28:16-20, tells of Jesus' appearance to his disciples on a mountain in Galilee, where he gives them the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that he has commanded. The Ascension of Jesus is celebrated today, and the Church continues the mission entrusted to the disciples. In this time, families are invited to rediscover the Rosary prayer, reciting it together and interceding for various intentions. A video-catechesis is available for further understanding.
