Summary

The Scribes and Pharisees sat in Moses' Seat, but Messiah Yahshua warned against their hypocrisy in Matthew 23. Verse 3 is troubling as it appears to say "whatever they say to you, guard and do", contradicting the rest of the chapter. However, the Hebrew Matthew, preserved through Shem Tov, reveals a different meaning, avoiding the contradiction and warning against submitting to the Seat of Moses' evil hypocrisy.
