Christ is risen, and with this, comes hope, salvation, and life for those who trust in Him. The series "Eyewitness to Easter" has explored the stories of various individuals who witnessed events surrounding Jesus' last week, including Peter, Mary Magdalene, Judas, John, Pilate, the women, and Barabbas. Not all of these witnesses made it to Easter, with Judas taking his own life and Pilate left wondering about the empty tomb. Other eyewitnesses included the two thieves crucified next to Jesus, one of whom found forgiveness, and the Roman soldier who declared Jesus the Son of God after His death. Jesus Himself is the ultimate eyewitness to Easter, having seen death conquered by His death and resurrection, holding the keys to death and Hades. Through His victory, Jesus saw the faithfulness of His Father, who would not abandon Him, and the transformation of His disciples, who would go on to spread His teachings after His resurrection. Jesus' resurrection is the firstfruits of what will be for all who believe in Him, with a new, imperishable body raised in glory.
