R' Gamliel permitted eating fish possibly caught on Yom Tov, but the halacha does not follow him. If a goy brings a gift of fish or fruit on Yom Tov, it is permitted to handle or eat if it is known to have been caught or picked before Yom Tov, or if it appears fresh but was actually caught or picked earlier.
