Summary

Havna i Sandefjord var en livlig havn med tømmer som hovedhandelsvare, med transport til England, Tyskland og Holland. Bryggene ble utvidet over tid, og det ble anlagt nye brygger og utbygninger, blant annet Thor Dahl-brygga, Dampskipsbrygga og Langbrygga. I 1850 ble havnefogd Tholvsen ansatt, og i 1883 ble det anlagt en jernbanestubb til Thor Dahl-brygga. I 1930-årene ble det anlagt nye brygger og utvidet, og i 1952-54 ble småbåthavna "Hesteskoen" bygget. I 2009 ble Hesteskoen rehabilitert med ny gjestehavn og septiktank/pumpe for småbåter.
