Summary

The Georgia Association of Christian Schools' Statement of Faith affirms the Bible as the sole authority for Christian faith and practice, believing in one God in three persons, the creation of man by God, and the incarnation and virgin birth of Jesus Christ. It also believes in the sinfulness of man, the necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation, and the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit. The statement rejects attempts to reinterpret Scripture in light of modern moral or psychological theories and considers homosexuality, lesbianism, and other non-heterosexual behaviors as sinful perversions of God's gift of sex. Membership in the association requires adherence to this Statement of Faith and excludes schools associated with certain ecumenical or charismatic movements, as well as those employing Roman Catholic teachers.
