Summary

Sūrah Jāthiyah is a counterpart to the previous sūrah, with a central theme of monotheism and the Hereafter. The Quraysh are warned that every part of the heavens and earth contains arguments for monotheism, and God has detailed them in His Book. Muslims are given glad tidings of final victory with patience, while the Jews are rebuked for their misdeeds and loss of religious and political leadership. The sūrah presents arguments for monotheism, warns polytheists, and expresses sorrow over the Israelites' failure to fulfill their obligations. It also dispels objections to the Hereafter and depicts the state of deniers on that day.
