Faith and culture, including science, have always intersected, and faith without culture has never been living and vibrant. The concept of inculturation of faith is relatively new, but it has deep roots in the history of the Church. Inculturation refers to the process of integrating Christian life and message into a specific cultural climate, allowing it to transform and shape the culture. Faith must be expressed in a living style and way of life to have meaning and be experienced. The Church has accepted enrichment through philosophy, but the relationship between faith and science has not always been without problems. The concept of culture is crucial, and it is understood as the form of society, encompassing various aspects of human existence, including values, language, customs, and knowledge. The Second Vatican Council adopted a modern anthropological understanding of culture, recognizing its importance in human development and the expression of spiritual experiences. The relationship between faith and culture is complex, and the Church has sought to balance the universality of the Christian message with the particularity of local cultures. Ultimately, faith and science can be mutually enriching, and the Church has a role to play in promoting a dialogue between the two.
