Teeta" means "old times" in the Ainu language. The organization's job is to convey the culture and environment of the past to present and future generations. The title "Teeta" was chosen to express the desire to widely share knowledge about old things.

The North海道 Buried Cultural Property Center conducted excavations at 15 sites in 9 cities and towns, with 7 sites undergoing only sorting work. 14 of these sites were continuation of previous year's surveys. Many structures and artifacts were discovered at each site.

Some of the notable sites include:
- 野田生１遺跡 (Nochidai 1 site) in 八雲町, where 37 pit dwellings and 26 earth pits were confirmed, dating back to the late Jomon period.
- 対雁２遺跡 (Tsuishikari 2 site) in 江別市, where many burned earth and artifacts from the late Jomon period were found.
- 西島松５遺跡 (Nishishimamatsu 5 site) in 恵庭市, where numerous artifacts, including pottery and stone tools, were discovered.
- 西島松９遺跡 (Nishishimamatsu 9 site) in 恵庭市, where a dwelling from the middle Jomon period was found, along with burned earth and artifacts.
- 虎杖浜２遺跡 (Kojohama 2 site) in 白老町, a Jomon period settlement site with a shell mound, where many artifacts, including shells, animal bones, and fishing gear, were found.
- 宮戸４遺跡 (Miyato 4 site) in 鵡川町, where many artifacts from various Jomon periods were discovered.
- 野田生２遺跡 (Nochidai 2 site) in 八雲町, where people lived during the early, middle, and late Jomon periods, and used pottery and stone tools.
