Summary

The ADSp 2016 applies to all freight forwarding contracts, covering services like freight forwarding, carriage of goods, warehousing, and logistics, unless exceptions apply. Mandatory statutory provisions take precedence over the ADSp 2016. The customer must provide timely notice of relevant conditions and information, including data on goods, public-law duties, and safety regulations. The freight forwarder is not obliged to check the customer's information or make additions to it. The customer must inform the freight forwarder about dangerous, valuable, or theft-sensitive goods, and the freight forwarder may refuse or return goods that do not comply with ADSp 2016 requirements. The freight forwarder's service does not include packaging, weighing, or inspection of goods unless standard business practice or separately agreed upon.
