These Service Terms govern UL Type Examination Testing and Certification Services, outlining responsibilities and obligations of UL Solutions and the Client. The services assess a product's conformity to UL Type Examination requirements and eligibility for a UL Type Examination Certificate. The Client must comply with conditions, including using the certificate solely according to the Service Agreement, investigating complaints, and informing UL Solutions of changes that may affect product conformity. The UL Type Examination Certificate is valid only for the product sample submitted and may be withdrawn if the Service Agreement terminates or the certificate is used contrary to the agreement. Fees and expenses, including product investigation fees and reimbursable expenses, will be billed to the Applicant. UL Solutions owns the marks and certificates, and the Client must not use them without authorization. The Client may make references to UL Solutions in promotional materials, subject to certain conditions.
