50 Plus Mobiel B.V. heeft een Fair Use policy om misbruik en overbelasting van het netwerk te voorkomen. De policy hanteert de volgende grenzen voor 'normaal' en 'redelijk' gebruik: meer dan 10.000 minuten per maand bellen of meer dan 10.000 sms'jes versturen. Gebruik dat als niet 'normaal' of niet 'redelijk' wordt aangemerkt, is onder andere: gebruik met meerdere apparaten tegelijk, continue of bijna-continue gebruik, en gebruik voor commerciële doeleinden. In geval van vermoedens van misbruik kan 50PM nader onderzoek doen en additionele voorwaarden stellen of de aansluiting opschorten. De Fair Use policy geldt ook voor roaming in de EU, waarbij 50PM een limiet van 4 maanden hanteert voor het doorbrengen van tijd in het buitenland en het verbruik van belminuten, sms en data. Indien deze limiet wordt overschreden, kan 50PM toeslagen in rekening brengen.
