Only administrators, faculty, and staff can send messages. Students cannot post. Examples include official law school events, requirements, and deadlines.
Voluntary Listservs: Administrators, faculty, staff, and students can send messages. These listservs are moderated and include categories such as student organization announcements, lost and found, and student-to-student information exchanges.

Posting Guidelines

All postings must comply with UGA rules, laws, and policies.
Commercial advertisements, spam, and solicitation without a UGA-issued permit are prohibited.
Explicit advertisement of alcoholic beverages is not permitted.
Required listservs are for official law school business, while Voluntary listservs are for student organization announcements, lost and found, and other student-related matters.

Moderation

Voluntary listservs are moderated by a School of Law employee, currently the Associate Director of Student Affairs.
Moderation occurs during weekday working hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm).

Key Prohibitions

Student requests to send messages via Required Administrator, Faculty, and Staff listservs must be directed to the Associate Director of Student Affairs.
Messages related to student organization meetings, events, projects, achievements, fundraisers, or similar matters are prohibited from Required listservs, except for certain exceptions such as announcements of executive/editorial board members and charitable events.
