Edward Muggleton, a gentleman from Caldecott, Rutland, wrote his last will and testament in 1812. He appointed his daughter Mary Ward as the sole executrix and left his copyhold properties, including a messuage and two closes of land (Pitt Close and Beggars Bu[?olu]s), to his son-in-law Thomas Ward and Mary for their lifetimes, with a yearly sum of £20 to be paid to his grandchildren Elizabeth Jane and Rebecca Muggleton.

After Thomas and Mary's deaths, the properties will be passed to their children and the children of Edward's late son Edward Muggleton. He also left £700, secured by a bond from John Cave, to be managed by John Stokes and John Brown, with the interest to be paid to Mary Ward during her lifetime and then divided among her children and the children of his late son.

The rest of his personal estate was left to Mary Ward. The will was proved at London on November 3, 1812, and administration was granted to Mary Ward.
