Summary

The South African Law Journal (SALJ) accepts manuscripts in English, relevant to South African law, in three types: articles (12,000 words max), notes (3,000-8,000 words), and book reviews (2,000-5,000 words). Manuscripts must be original, not published or offered elsewhere, and may be submitted to expert referees for evaluation. The editors reserve the right to make changes to bring the manuscript into the house style, eliminate errors, and improve expression and style. Authors must follow the house style guide, which includes requirements for page layout, font, type, italics, titles, headings, lists, spelling, and grammar. Manuscripts not in house style will be returned to authors for revision before evaluation.
