The University of Florida Board of Trustees and Graduate Assistants United/United Faculty of Florida agreed on a 2021-2023 contract. The contract covers recognition, reserved rights, consultation, appointments, reappointments, terminations, employment performance evaluation, employee evaluation files, workload, leaves of absence, academic freedom, stipends, tuition programs, health insurance, unlawful discrimination, copyrights and patents, outside activities, use of facilities, union deductions, insurance deductions, miscellaneous provisions, other employee rights, discipline, and grievance procedures. The contract applies to graduate research assistants, graduate research associates, graduate teaching assistants, graduate teaching associates, and graduate assistants. The University retains all rights, powers, and authority, subject to limitations imposed by the agreement. The parties agree to consult on matters pertinent to the agreement's implementation and administration.
