NORTH CAROLINA IRRIGATION CONTRACTORS’ LICENSE SURETY BOND: This bond is between the principal (individual license holder) and the surety (bonding company), binding them to the North Carolina Irrigation Contractors’ Licensing Board for $10,000. The principal and surety must protect persons from losses due to the principal's non-compliance with Chapter 89G of the North Carolina General Statutes or applicable codes, and remedy defects in work due to faulty workmanship or materials within one year of completion, and within 48 hours of notice. Failure to remedy defects within 30 days of notice gives the affected person a right of action against the principal and surety. The bond remains in effect until cancellation notice is received by the Board at least 30 days prior to the cancellation date.
