Context:
- The Summerfield Units I & II Homeowner’s Association is seeking a new Board Member to fill the vacancy left by the passing of Greg Presto.
- Heywood Community Management is managing the association and handling the recruitment process.

Requirements for Applicants:
1. Interest in Serving the Community: A genuine desire to contribute to the community's well-being.
2. Adherence to Governing Documents: Commitment to uphold the Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs) and other association documents.
3. Informed Decision-Making: Ability to listen and make rational decisions based on all available information.
4. Attendance and Engagement: Dedication to attending board meetings and participating at committee level when required.
5. Ownership and Standing: Candidate must be a confirmed owner of a unit in the association, with current assessments (see Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws & CC&Rs). Residency is highly recommended but not mandatory.
6. Technical Proficiency: Access to email and basic computer skills for reviewing Word, Excel, and PDF documents are essential due to electronic communication methods.

Application Process:
- Applications must be received by Tuesday, March 10th, 2020.
- Complete the provided Candidate Application Form and return it as instructed.
- The Board will review applications and may conduct interviews before voting on the appointment at their March 16th meeting.

Board members are expected to:
- Serve the best interests of the association as a whole, regardless of personal interests.
- Make sound business decisions within legal and governing document boundaries.
