The selection process for Unified Patent Court (UPC) judges consists of:
1. Candidate selection by the Advisory Committee based on applications and supporting documents.

- Fulfilling conditions set out in Article 15 of the UPC Agreement and the Statute
- Having a good command of at least one official language of the European Patent Office
- Having proven experience in patent litigation
