Lane Community College and Lane Community College Employees Federation agreed on a voluntary separation incentive for eligible C-1 and C-2 classified employees (.500-1.00 FTE) who are 55 or older by July 31, 2019, and were hired by January 1, 2009. Eligible employees must submit a written notice of voluntary separation by March 1, 2019, and will have two incentive options: (1) health insurance continuation for up to 12 months or until Medicare eligibility, or (2) a one-time stipend payment of $10,000. Employees who separate under this incentive may be disqualified from collecting unemployment benefits and will be eligible for tuition-free classes and transportation fee exemptions through June 30, 2020. The incentive expires on March 2, 2019.
