The work displaces optical focus, inducing an epochal journey, and suggests cultural malleability. Mediterranean Paintings dislocate us from our contemporary framework, conveying fragility and lightness, and referencing art history. The body of work affirms something counter-modern, provoking disorientation in time, and invoking the ecstatic imaginary, hoping to visualize a world yet-to-come, retaining a memory of the past, and touching upon sensuous human needs.
