The Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts is celebrating the centennial of Sam Maloof's birth with a year-long celebration starting in January 2016. A new exhibition, "Sam Maloof Woodworker: Life | Art | Legacy," will open at the Maloof Foundation, showcasing over 60 objects, including furniture, drawings, and photographs. The exhibition will highlight Maloof's journey from humble beginnings to global acclaim, featuring works by Maloof and other artists, including a rocking chair made for President Jimmy Carter.
