Harold Offeh is a Ghana-born, North London-raised artist who studied at the University of Brighton, Royal College of Art, and completed a PhD at Leeds Beckett University, where he also teaches. His main interests as an artist include performance, history, play, and popular culture. Offeh's practice focuses on creating communities and educating people through "social arts practice," which emerged from his experiences working with various groups and communities.

He is working on a project called Hail the New Prophets, inspired by Afrofuturism, which is the third in a series of projects that include The Mothership Collective and Futurama. The project involves a spaceship design inspired by Sun Ra's film Space is the Place and will serve as a playground sculpture. Offeh organized an Open Call for people to contribute "messages for the future," which will be broadcast from the ship.

The project is part of the Bold Tendencies 2021 programme with the theme of Arcadia, which Offeh relates to the idea of utopia and a space of play, joy, and wonderment. He has several other projects planned for the year, including a children's play area at Bluecoat Contemporary Art Centre, a video installation at the Wellcome Collection, and co-curating a group exhibition in Birmingham.
