HOPKINS ROYALS BOYS BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION Board Meeting Minutes April 11, 2018:
Meeting attendance included Tim Omdahl, Renee Oertli, Kim Lampe, Tim Hoffman, Pat Eiden, Sara Mausser, Tony Corwin, Justin White, and Shauna Becker, with several members absent.
The meeting was called to order at 7:06 pm, with minutes updated and approved for the March board meeting.
There are two open board positions: Co-Coaching Director and President.
The President's update included locking down the tournament date for next year, with two options: January 13th and January 26th.
The board discussed tournament volunteer checks, coach's surveys, and social media use.
The Coaching Director reported on the need for paid coaches, with a consensus to continue having nine paid coaches.
The board also discussed having hired coaches at higher levels and the Positive Coaching Alliance.
Open gym schedule will start on August 14th, with tryouts on September 22nd and 23rd.
The Treasurer's update showed a balance of $38,554 at the end of March, $4,000 more than the same time last year.
The Webmaster will update the open board positions and create a resources page on the site.
Spirit Wear is under budget, with a discussion on using uniforms for two years, providing discounts for reuse, and exploring new vendors.
