We may wonder if, believing in Allah Almighty as the One Who Sees all of His creation, will make us feel awkward or uncomfortable in all our actions. Certainly, this should not be the case. In fact, if we think about this positively, it should motivate us to perform more good deeds wherever we are, or in any manner possible, as long as they are done in accordance with the Shariah. This is because we know that everything we plan to do does not escape Allah's sight and attention.

Furthermore, this will educate us to perform all good deeds knowing that we are performing them directly in front of Allah Almighty.

Ihsan is that you should worship Allah as though you could see Him, for though you cannot see Him, He indeed does see you. Hadith narrated by Imam Muslim.

'Ihsan' also means that we perform our deeds with utmost devotion, sincerity and conviction that Allah Almighty is always seeing all that we do. This should make us more committed and proper in performing our acts of worship in order to experience blessings and contentment in our Ibadah (devotion to Allah).

The characterisƟc of 'Ihsan' also leads humankind to recognize and realize that Allah Almighty observes all of our actions. Allah says in surah Al-'Alaq verse 14: Does he not know that Allah sees?
