Bartimäus, einem blinden Bettler, und Zachäus, einem verhassten Zöllner. Beide suchen Jesus und werden von ihm wahrgenommen und geheilt. Jesus bleibt stehen, nimmt sich Zeit und zeigt echtes Interesse. Durch diese Begegnungen verändern sich ihre Leben. Die Botschaft ist, dass Jesus jeden Menschen sieht und annimmt, und dass wir dazu aufgerufen sind, anderen mit demselben Interesse und der gleichen Liebe zu begegnen, wie Jesus es tut. Drei Anregungen, dies umzusetzen, sind: Freundschaften mit Nichtchristen einzugehen, Zeit für Gäste nach dem Gottesdienst zu nehmen und das Kiez-Café zu besuchen, um mit anderen ins Gespräch zu kommen.
