The first week of Lent has begun, and it's a time to reflect on Jesus' journey to the cross. The goal is to live a beautiful life, being a friend of Jesus, and discovering that this way of living brings happiness.

Proposed Actions

Choose one of the following actions to live out during the week:

1. Keep your room tidy, contributing to the order of the household.
2. Commit to doing your best at school.
3. Be loyal and sincere with others.
4. Use technology (smartphone, tablet, TV, video games) wisely and in moderation.

Daily Prayer

From Monday to Friday, read a portion of the Gospel of Mark, which tells the story of Jesus' passion, death, and resurrection. On Saturday, reflect on the week and verify if you lived out your chosen action. On Sunday, participate in Mass and update your "Lenten corner" with a symbol related to the Gospel reading.

Lenten Corner

Create a small space in your room with a crucifix and add a symbol each Sunday to remind you of the Gospel reading.

Monday, March 7: Mark 12:1-16 (preparing for the Passover)
Tuesday, March 8: Mark 17:18-21 (Jesus predicts his betrayal)
Wednesday, March 9: Mark 22-25 (the Last Supper)
Thursday, March 10: Mark 26-31 (Jesus predicts Peter's denial)
Friday, March 11: Mark 32-38 (Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane)
Saturday, March 12: Reflect on the week and pray for help to live out your chosen action.

Appointments and Recipes

Friday, March 11: Stations of the Cross at 16:45 in San Leonardo Church or 17:00 in San Paolo Basilica.
Sunday, March 13: Participate in Mass, especially with the 2nd-year students (3rd grade) leading the celebration.
* Recipe of the week: Gnocchi di zucca (pumpkin gnocchi), a traditional dish eaten by pilgrims traveling to European sanctuaries.
