The wine was handpicked, sorted, and macerated for 35-42 days, then matured in new French oak barrels for 20 months and a year in bottle before release. The 2009 vintage is regarded as the vintage of the decade in Agrelo, with perfect picking conditions and resulting in a wine with heightened aromas of violets and dark fruit flavors.
