Summary

The Adjust-A-Grate is designed for easy installation without drilling, using strong tempered aluminum that holds 400 lbs and allows 90% of natural light. It's lightweight, rust-resistant, and requires no paint. The grates fit various window wells with brackets adaptable for metal or concrete wells. An Optional Security Kit with Quick Release is available, offering a 10-year warranty.

The Model L6 grate fits metal window wells with large radius corners; rectangular models are needed for mostly rectangular wells. Installation uses the inside dimensions of the well to ensure proper fitting and at least 2” clearance between the window top and well lip for emergency egress compliance with IRC standards.

Adjust-A-Grates do not adjust front-to-back but lengthwise within specified ranges, positioned centrally in the well opening. They are designed for easy exit without being bolted down, deterring burglars while allowing quick escape during emergencies. For added security, the Optional Security Kit can lock the grate in place.
