Aphidius colemani is a parasitoid that controls aphids by laying eggs inside them. The larvae develop inside the aphid, eventually killing it and emerging as adult Aphidius. Each female lays 200-500 eggs, and development from egg to adult takes about 2 weeks at 25°C.

Aphidius colemani is effective against cotton aphid and green peach aphid, and is more effective when combined with Aphidoletes aphidimyza and banker plants. It is recommended to use ½-1 Aphidius/m2 every 2 weeks in ornamentals and vegetables, and to release at minimum 5-10 sites per 1000 m2. The product is delivered as a mix of pupae and adult in sawdust or vermiculite, and should be released immediately for optimal results.
