The SGSX series is a wide type parallel gripper with 2-fingers, featuring a rack and pinion construction for smooth and consistent gripping force. It has a wide range of strokes available, dust seals to protect internal parts, and can be used with proximity and reed switches. The gripper is double-acting, air-operated, and has a magnetic standard. The operating pressure range is 0.2-0.6 MPa, and the ambient temperature range is -5 to 60°C. The repeatability is ±0.1 mm, and the gripper has various sensor switch options. The model selection is based on the gripping force required, which can be calculated using the formula F ≥ m×g / (n×μ) × a, where F is the gripping force, m is the workpiece mass, g is the gravitational acceleration, μ is the coefficient of friction, n is the number of fingers, and a is the safe factor. The gripper has different capacities for different tube IDs, and the holding force varies with the operating pressure and holding position. Mounting precautions include preventing bending of the piston rod, not scratching or denting the sliding portion, and referring to the table for proper tightening torque.
