Summary

The DCM in a VIA package is an isolated, regulated DC-to-DC converter that operates from an unregulated, wide-range input to generate an isolated 12.0 Vdc output. It features up to 500 W, 41.67 A continuous output, 93.0% peak efficiency, and 258 W/in3 power density. The converter has a wide input range of 160-420 Vdc, safety extra low voltage (SELV) 12.0 V nominal output, and ZVS high-frequency switching. It allows remote sense or local sense operation, has tight regulation over all line and load conditions, and fully operational current limit. The converter also has overvoltage, overcurrent, undervoltage, short circuit, and thermal protection. It is available in chassis mount and through-hole VIA packages, measuring 3.750" x 1.400" x 0.370" (95.13 mm x 35.5 mm x 9.40 mm). Typical applications include industrial, process control, heavy equipment, and defense/aerospace.
