Valeport's Thru-Hull SVS is a digital time of flight sound velocity sensor that can be deployed through a vessel's hull and recovered for maintenance without docking. It's suitable for multibeam applications and has an optional PRT temperature sensor. The sensor features advanced composite, titanium, and polycarbonate construction, with a range of 1375-1900 m/s, accuracy of ±0.02 m/s, and resolution of 0.001 m/s. The system includes a PN16 ball valve, operates with continuous data sampling up to 8Hz, and uses RS232, RS485, and RS422 protocols. The instrument is made of titanium, polyurethane, and polycarbonate, with a 316 stainless steel mounting and aluminium bronze valve. The system is supplied with DataLog X2 Windows-based software for setup, data extraction, and display.
