To install Chipboard Overfloor Heating Boards, you will need a metal edge rule, hand saw, eye protection, dust mask, and 2mm A2 spreader. It's also recommended to use a marker pen, pipe cutter, gloves, knee protection, and router. The boards are not intended to be bonded to an asphalt surface. When handling the boards, care must be exercised due to their weight, and they should be lifted vertically with two hands along one edge.

The floor preparation involves removing loose paint, floor coverings, oil, grease, damp, dust, and debris. A damp proof membrane should be installed if not already present. The boards can be fixed to new or existing concrete, screed, or wooden floors that are dry and level.

When installing the boards, a perimeter edge strip should be fitted around the outside edges of the area to be heated. The pipe layout drawing should be studied, and the boards should be cut to shape where required. The boards are designed for easy installation and can be used in conjunction with 16mm EPS transitional panels.

Fixing the boards to the sub-floor involves gluing and screwing them to prevent future movement. An acrylic adhesive, such as Mapei ECO 380, should be used, and the sub-floor should be dry, clean, stable, level, and free from obstructions. The boards should be lifted in preparation for fixing, and a 'dry' lay of all panels is recommended before attempting to use adhesive.
