Mule-Hide PVC PS Cover Strip: Use & Limits.pdf

Mule-Hide's PVC Pressure-Sensitive Cover Strip is a 35-mil thick, non-reinforced KEE HP flashing laminated to a 35-mil, fully cured, pressure-sensitive synthetic rubber adhesive. It's exclusively tested for use on Mule-Hide's PVC and KEE HP membranes, and its performance is not guaranteed on other manufacturers' membranes.

Uses:
- Stripping in flat metal edgings (e.g., drip edge)
- Not for use on corners, pipes, T-joints, butt joints, or angled metal flanges

Benefits:
- Fast, simple installation with no welding required
- Compatible with various metal finishes, including Kynar-coated metal

Colors: White, Gray, Tan

Packaging: 6" wide x 100' long rolls, 2 rolls per carton, 22 lbs per roll

Application Steps:
1. Clean the existing membrane and metal (if applicable)
2. Apply PVC Step 1 Activator to the membrane, let dry
3. Apply PVC Step 2 Primer to the membrane and metal, let flash off
4. Install PVC PS Cover Strip immediately after, using firm pressure and a silicone roller
5. Heat the top surface of the strip where it crosses joints or seams
6. Apply Step 1 Activator to overlapped areas before applying Step 2 Primer
7. Heat the cleaned/primed area of the membrane when temperatures fall below 40°F (5°C)

Storage & Handling:
- Store at temperatures between 40°F (4°C) and 90°F (32°C)
- Keep rolls in boxes or shaded areas in warm, sunny weather
- Store in dry areas
