Mule-Hide Seal-Fast Double-Stick Tape is a non-butyl synthetic rubber and resin adhesive tape that remains flexible in cold temperatures. It is designed to bond two surfaces, creating a water-tight, conformable seal. The tape adheres to various substrates, including EPDM, TPO, PVC, CSPE/Hypalon, CPE, SBS & APP Modified, asphalt BUR, coat tar BUR, tiles, coated and non-coated aluminum and metal roofs, galvanized steel, gypsum board, wood, polyethylene, propylene, rigid polystyrene, rigid fiberglass, brick, concrete, masonry, OSB board, etc.

The tape is used to create a water-tight, conformable seal or weather-proof bond between two surfaces. It can be rolled into a bead or ball to form a gasket, seal a gap, or seal as needed. The tape is comprised of 100% solids consisting of synthetic resins, thermoplastics, and non-curing rubber (non-butyl) with a built-in primer, sandwiched between two silicone release liners.

The tape is packaged in cartons containing 1” x 50’ (24 rolls per carton) or 2” x 50’ (12 rolls per carton). Installation instructions include:

1. Surface preparation: Clean and dry surface, free of loose rust and scale, dust, talc, and dirt.
2. Oil, grease, and other contaminants must be removed with a Seal-Fast Cleaner or suitable solvent/cleaner.
3. For older plastic roofs, score surface with sand cloth and wipe away dust.

Application instructions include:

1. Remove one side of release liner and apply to surface to be protected or bonded.
2. Roll firmly with a steel hand roller to activate the bonding process.
3. Remove the second release liner and apply second surface to tape.
4. Roll firmly with a steel roller to activate the bonding process.
5. Seal-Fast Double-Stick Tape may be applied to clean, dry surfaces from 150ºF to -20ºF.
6. For low temperature application (below 40ºF down to -20ºF) treat surface with Seal-Fast Primer prior to application and maintain tape at room temperature (+60°F) prior to application.

Storage and handling instructions include storing the tape in a cool, shaded area and covering with a light-colored, breathable, waterproof tarp.
